Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

Find answers to common questions here.

1. Where can I use the generated photos?

You can use the generated photos for personal professional profiles such as resumes, LinkedIn, portfolios, company websites, business cards, and speaker profiles.

2. What standards are the role-tailored profile photos designed around?

Job Photo draws on the standards commonly recommended by global university career centers and professional profile guides, including UC Berkeley Career Engagement, University of Pennsylvania Career Services, and LinkedIn's official guidance.

We take the principles these sources consistently emphasize — a framing where the face is clearly visible, a natural expression, neat attire, a simple background, and a professional shooting environment — as our baseline, and then compose the expression, attire, lighting, and background to suit the role and context the photo will be used in.

You do not need to book a studio or plan a shooting concept. With just one or a few photos you already have, you can receive a profile photo that naturally fits the mood of your role or industry.

Please note that we are not certified by or officially affiliated with any particular university or institution, and that a profile photo does not determine your abilities or hiring outcomes.

3. How is psychological research reflected in photo generation?

Job Photo's first-impression design references the 2006 study by Janine Willis and Alexander Todorov of Princeton University as one of its main sources.

That study reported that people can form impressions of traits such as trustworthiness, likability, and competence after roughly 0.1 seconds (100ms) of exposure to an unfamiliar face. Job Photo does not interpret this to mean that a photo reveals a person's character or ability.

Instead, we focus on the finding that the same person can look different depending on expression, gaze, face angle, lighting, framing, and background. We leave your actual face and character as they are and refine only the adjustable elements — expression, angle, and lighting — so you can try it without pressure.

The research is used only as a reference for designing the visual presentation of a profile photo, never as a basis for predicting hiring outcomes.

4. What kind of photo should I upload for the best results?

The more clearly your face is visible, the better the result.

Where possible, please use photos that meet the following criteria.

  • Face clearly visible from the front or three-quarter angle
  • Bright and sharp
  • Face not covered by hair, a mask, sunglasses, hands, etc.
  • No heavy retouching or filters
  • Not taken from too far away
  • A range of angles and expressions

Blurry or dark photos, photos where the face is small, group photos, and heavily filtered photos may result in lower output quality.

5. Are my uploaded original photos handled securely?

Photos you upload are used solely to generate your AI results, and never for other purposes such as improving AI features or for research and training.

Original photos are deleted automatically once generation is complete.

6. Who owns the rights to the generated photos?

You may use the results you generate for lawful purposes such as personal social media, portfolios, and resumes.

When using your results, please take care not to infringe the rights of third parties, including their portrait rights, copyrights, trademarks, reputation, and privacy.

7. Can I get a refund if I do not like the result?

Job Photo is a digital content service in which each result is produced individually and immediately based on the photos you upload and the style you select.

For this reason, once image generation has begun, refunds based on a simple change of mind, dissatisfaction with taste, or personal reasons may be restricted.

However, in the following cases, please contact customer support and we will review appropriate remedies such as a refund or regeneration.

  • Payment was completed but the service was not provided
  • Generation did not complete properly due to a system error
  • The same payment was charged more than once

8. I want to cancel after payment. Is that possible?

You can cancel your order and receive a refund up to the style selection step after payment is completed.

However, once you have given final confirmation to start generation and image generation has actually begun, cancellations and refunds are restricted to the extent permitted by applicable law, given the nature of individually produced digital content.

If you want a refund before generation starts, please contact customer support.

9. I do not like the result. Can you generate it again?

Generation is provided once per payment.

Even if the result differs from your expectations or is unsatisfactory, free regeneration or automatic retry is not provided unless a system error attributable to the Company occurred.

If you did not receive a proper result due to a system error, please contact customer support with your sign-up email (or order information) and we will review it and assist with an appropriate remedy such as a refund or regeneration.

10. How long are the generated results (photos) stored?

Results are stored for up to 30 days from the date generation is completed, and within that period you can download them from My Page or delete them yourself.

We recommend downloading your results before the 30 days elapse.

11. How long is a generation credit valid after payment?

A generation credit granted after payment is valid for 30 days from the date of payment.

If you do not start generation within that period, the credit expires automatically, and no refund is provided in that case.

The Company makes efforts to notify users before a credit expires, for example by email, but the expiration takes effect regardless of whether such notice was sent or seen. Please complete your generation within the validity period.
